Juha-Antti Lamberg, Henri Schildt and Juha Mattsson had the opportunity the share their knowledge in the Journal of Helsinki University of Technology, Polysteekki, which had a theme issue on strategy. In the editorial Lamberg pointed out how the brand of strategic research is believed to have all the answers to business operations success.

Social software, commonly known as the Web 2.0, is probably going to generate most of the information technology innovation in the future. The development is going to be fierce; it's hard to speculate what the possibilities will be in ten years.

Scientific publishing has been dominated by a few larger publishers, who have been able to raise the journal prices faster than the inflation rate justifies. Especially in basic sciences journal prices have increased 60- 98% between 1995 and 2001 (Valsiner 2006).

The old ways of disseminating and producing information are rapidly changing. The traditional fields, like academic research, are moving slower but the changes are inevitable. During the summer I did research on this phenomenon. The first report considers new possibilities to disseminate academic work. Many universities are already utilizing the methods presented in this report. My greatest concern is that the Helsinki University of Technology will fall behind in the development, therefore not utilizing all the possibilities to promote academic work.
