Carolyn Dexter Award for the Best International Paper to Joonas Järvinen, Juha-Antti Lamberg, Peter Murmann and Jari Ojala

Joonas Järvinen (TKK), Juha-Antti Lamberg (TKK), Peter Murmann (Australian Graduate School of Management) and Jari Ojala (University of Jyväskylä), members and collaborative partners of the GloStra research group, have received Carolyn Dexter Award for their paper “Alternative paths to competitive advantage: European paper industries 1900-2000”.

The Carolyn Dexter Award is an All-Academy award given to the paper that best meets the objective of internationalizing the Academy of Management which is the largest management conference of the world.

According to the official webpage of Academy of Management (www.aomonline.org), the criteria for the Award include the following: (1) The theme and content of the paper reflect an awareness of business and management outside domestic boundaries; (2) Collaboration between scholars from different countries is desirable; (3) The paper offers new insights, is rich in observation and employs creative methodologies. The prize winner is chosen among over 5000 submissions.
